The quiet, pretty village of Great Horwood is in North Buckinghamshire, close to the market town of Buckingham. There is a pub within walking distance, and many excellent gastro pubs in the surrounding villages as well. A children’s play area (complete with zip line!) is just a few minutes walk down the lane.

For day trips, the beautiful historic city of Oxford is only an hour away and Cambridge is an hour and a half. Milton Keynes has plenty of activities available: cinemas, theatres, restaurants, shopping, a Go Ape high ropes course, Willen Lake for water sports, Gulliver’s Land theme park, the Snozone indoor ski slope and the iFly indoor sky diving at the Xscape Building. Bletchley Park, site of the cracking of the Enigma Code, is also near by, as is Woburn Safari Park. Bicester Village is 30 minutes away; Silverstone is 30 minutes, and we are close to Addington Equestrian Centre.

If you are interested in garden and National Trust properties, we are close to Waddesdon Manor, Stowe, Claydon House, Ascott House, Ashridge, Hughenden, Woburn, and Blenheim Palace.

We are situated 20 minutes outside Milton Keynes; far enough that we are in peaceful countryside, but close enough for easy access to the shops, cinemas and trains. Milton Keynes Central train station is only 35 minutes from London Euston; 1h30 from Manchester Piccadilly. Taxis from the station are easy and cheap to book in advance. London Luton Airport is less than an hour away; Heathrow is 1h15 and Birmingham airport less than 1h30.
